President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is heading to Kenya on Monday to participate in the Africa–France Summit, Nairobi, May 11–12.
According to Presidency Spokesman Mohamed El-Shennawy, the summit is being held under the theme “Africa Forward”, with the chief aim of boosting the Africa–France partnership, focusing on key issues that include economic growth, digital transformation, energy, and reform of the international financial system.
The summit will also discuss integrating African priorities into global economic frameworks.
The event is expected to feature broad participation from African leaders, French President Emmanuel Macron, the UN Secretary-General, heads of regional and international financial institutions, as well as representatives of African and French business communities.
President Sisi will deliver Egypt’s address during the summit. He will also hold bilateral meetings with fellow African leaders and officials from international organisations on the sidelines of the gathering.
