BRUSSELS – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauded the positive developments witnessed in economic and trade relations between Egypt and Belgium over the past period.
This came on Wednesday during Sisi’s meeting with representatives of business community and heads of big companies in Belgium.
Sisi said the giant projects implemented currently in Egypt provide different investment opportunities topped by Suez Canal Corridor Development Project which includes a number of major industrial and logistic zones.

Sisi asserted Egypt’s keenness on developing economic and trade ties with the Belgian business community and companies, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Sisi asserted that the quantum leap witnessed recently in Egypt in the different developmental sectors reflects the strong will of the state to achieve sustainable development, Radi said.
Meanwhile, the Belgian businessmen expressed happiness over the meeting, saying it is a good opportunity to promote friendship and cooperation ties between the two countries.
They said they are looking forward to mulling the possibility of increasing cooperation between both countries in light of the several promising investment opportunities in the different domains in Egypt, especially in the sectors of developing and managing ports, logistics and clean and renewable energy.
The Belgian side lauded the personal follow up of President Sisi to the measures taken to facilitate the workflow of the Belgian companies in Egypt.
