Sisi lauds BRICS’s accession invitation to Egypt

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi lauded on Thursday BRICS’ invitation to Egypt to join the economic bloc as of January 2924.

The President expressed happiness over BRICS member states’ confidence in Egypt, hoping there will be further cooperation and coordination between Egypt and the bloc countries within the coming period.

I highly value the BRICS’s invitation of Egypt to join economic bloc as of January 2024 and we are proud of the confidence of all bloc countries in Egypt. We look forward to cooperation and coordination with all member states within the coming period, as well as with the countries invited to join the group to achieve the goals of the bloc as regards strengthening economic cooperation, empowering South countries towards various developmental issues and challenges facing us in a way that supports the rights and interests of developing countries, Sisi said in a statement.
