Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted on Friday that the new roads, axes and bridges currently being established aim at reducing traffic congestion and facilitating citizens’ movement in Greater Cairo and other governorates.
This came during the president’s tour to inspect development works of some roads and axes in Greater Cairo including Consular Abdel Meguid Mahmoud Axis.
He also inspected professor Taha Hussein Axis, in which he hailed such a great project.
The president said that naming the axis after professor Taha Hussein reflects Egypt’s appreciation of intellectuals.
During his tour, Sisi also inspected the upgrade of roads network and establishment of bridges in southern Greater Cairo areas.
