Egypt’s acquisition of capability, strength guarantees safety of people’s potentials
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed that Egypt’s acquisition of strength and capabilities guarantee for the maintenance of the safety, stability and security of potentials and resources of its people.
Speaking to a group of senior commanders of the Army, police and various security agencies on Sunday, the president asserted that the state closely monitors regional and international developments, adhering to a balanced and moderate foreign policy approach.
This policy, he said, is based on working to resolve crises and avoiding the escalation of conflicts that could destabilise the region.

Attending the meeting that President Sisi called as Supreme Commander of the Armed Force were Prime Minister Dr Moustafa Madbouli, Armed Forces Commander and Defence Minister General Abdel Meguid Saqr, Minister of the Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfik, Armed Forces Chief-of-Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, and General Intelligence Chief Hassan Rashad.
The meeting was devoted to reviewing the current developments on regional and international domains and their implications for Egypt’s national security, Presidency Spokesman Mohamed el-Shennawy said.
The president was briefed on efforts undertaken by the Armed Forces, Police, and security agencies to safeguard Egypt’s borders and domestic front against various threats across all strategic directions, in light of the flurry of events in the region.

Following the review and briefings, President Sisi stressed the importance of optimising the capabilities s of all state institutions and agencies, underscoring in this connection the vital role undertaken by the Armed Forces and civilian Police in safeguarding the nation. Such a role, the president noted, reflects their faith in the sacred task of protecting Egypt and its people, regardless of the sacrifices required, Spokesman Shennawy said.
President Sisi further asserted that the current circumstances demonstrate the crucial importance of the Egyptian people’s awareness and unity as the primary guarantee in overcoming regional crises and surrounding threats, Ambassador Shennawy said.
The president also reiterated the state’s commitment to spread comprehensive development efforts nationwide in order to build a future that fulfills the aspirations and ambitions of the citizens of Egypt.
Following the meeting, President Sisi conducted an inspection tour in the Egyptian Military Academy and the Equestrian Club located at the Strategic Command HQs in the New Administrative Capital (NAC).
