Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on Tuesday signed a joint declaration on strategic partnership between the two countries as part of efforts to upgrade the level of relations to be up to its current excellent level.
Sisi and Orban witnessed the signing of a number of ministers and officials from both sides on a number of joint memoranda of understanding (MOUs) in the various fields.
Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Mohamed Shaker and Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Szijjártó signed MOU in the field of training and education of the peaceful uses of nuclear energy.
Also, Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Mohamed Ayman Ashour and Szijjártó signed an agreement on scholarships offered by Hungary through the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship programme.
Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and Szijjártó signed an MOU on sports and youths.
Another MOU was signed by Ashour and Szijjártó on cooperation in the high education and scientific research during the period of 2023-2026.
