COPENHAGEN – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hosted a dinner banquet in honor of Queen Mary of Denmark and King of Denmark Frederik X, wrapping a three-day visit to the Scandinavian country, the first stop in his current tour in Northern Europe.
Welcoming his royal guests, Sisi said this banquet is a token of appreciation and gratitude to the Kingdom of Denmark, the King and Queen of Denmark, as well as the Danish prime minister, and parliament speaker, and all officials and friends he had met during his visit to the friendly country, for the warm reception and hospitality.
“I am proud to be among you today, in an atmosphere of friendship, cooperation and amity that unites us, and our sincere interest to strengthen the political, economic and cultural ties between our two countries, based on mutual respect and true friendship,” Sisi added.
Sisi said his meetings with the Danish king, prime minister, and parliament speaker saw an alignment in views on the importance of deepening Egyptian-Danish relations at all levels.
“Together with His Majesty the King, we witnessed the opening of an economic conference during which the Egyptian-Danish Business Council was launched, and a number of Memoranda of Understanding were signed for cooperation in areas of common interest,” the President said.
