Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Saturday honored the winners of the 30th edition of the international Quran competition.
This came during a ceremony held by the Awqaf Ministry at Al Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo to commemorate Lailatul Qadr.
Sisi awarded the winners in the first category of the contest, which includes memorization of the entire Quran plus tajweed recitation and understanding the meaning.
The first winner from Beheira Governorate won a prize of one million EGP.
