President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed that Egypt is rich in huge investment opportunities, which aresupported by the political decision making at thehighest level to implement projects in all development fields.
The President’s remarks came as he took part Thursday via video conference in a high-level meeting organisedby the American Chamber of Commerce and the Egyptian-American Business Council with the participation of heads of boards of directors and senior officials of a number of major international US companies.
President Sisi said that the “quantum leap” witnessed by Egypt recently in various economic and development sectors reflect strong determination by the state to accomplish sustainable development.
The meeting was attended by Prime Minister MoustafaMadbouli, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri, Minister of Tourism Rania el-Mashat and Minister of Trade and Industry Neveen Game’, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
It was also attended by the heads of several global companies, including Apache, Bechtel, Honeywell, Uber, Lockheed Martin, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Google, Mastercard, Pepsi and the Hilton group.
During the meeting, the President said that this key meeting embodies the spirit of solid cooperation and friendship between Egypt and the United States. Hestressed Egypt’s keenness to continue to create an attractive climate for US investments to contribute to supporting the economic development process in Egypt.
For their part, the participants praised the vigorous personal follow-up of President Sisi on the measures taken to facilitate the work of foreign and US companies in Egypt as well as the continuous development and growth and the remarkable resilience of the Egyptian economy.
They also commended the priorities of Egypt’s investment plan, which they said are consistent with the global economic system, especially in the field of energy in light of Egypt’s goal of becoming a regional energy hub.
This is supported by the efforts and measures adopted by the Egyptian government to accelerate the development process, especially with the measures taken to improve the investment environment and the implementation of many mega national projects, the participants said.
They added that this drive is what currently places Egypt on the international arena as a model, a success story to follow and an important development partner.
