Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi yesterday expressed the appreciation and affection that the Egyptian leadership and people maintain for the close historical ties that unite it with its brothers from Arab countries.
The president’s remarks came as he received King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain and Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi at Alamein International Airport, Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Bassam Radi said.
Joining President Sisi in welcoming the leaders of Jordan, Bahrain and Iraq upon arrival was UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan who had flown in to Alamein on Sunday.
In a special and brotherly meeting, President Sisi welcomed Egypt’s distinguished guests and expressed the feelings of appreciation and amiability that the leadership and people of Egypt hold towards the historical and close bonds uniting Egypt with its brothers from Arab countries, Spokesman Radi said.
The meeting witnessed an exchange of views between the five leaders on enhancing various aspects of bilateral relations and optimising co-operation in all available areas, the spokesman added.
