President Abdel Fattah El Sisi announced on Thursday the successful conclusion of a historic ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, marking a significant turning point in the pursuit of peace and stability in the region.
Speaking from Sharm el-Sheikh—widely known as the City of Peace—President Sisi affirmed that the ceasefire deal crowns extensive diplomatic efforts and unwavering commitment to ending two years of conflict and humanitarian suffering in Gaza.
The agreement, reached under the auspices of Egypt, Qatar, and the United States, aligns with the framework of the peace plan proposed by President Donald Trump.
“This is a defining moment in our collective history,” President Sisi said in a post on his Facebook page. “It reflects the triumph of the will for peace over the logic of war, and the enduring belief that dialogue and co-operation can overcome division and violence.”
The ceasefire agreement not only signals the end of prolonged hostilities but also represents a broader commitment to justice, security, and long-term stability for the peoples of the region. It is a step forward on the path toward lasting peace—one that prioritises human dignity, mutual respect, and a shared future.
Egypt reaffirms its continued dedication to supporting all regional and international efforts aimed at securing peace, rebuilding Gaza, and ensuring a better life for future generations.
