President Abdel Fattah El Sisi extended warm congratulations to Egypt’s national karate teams—both senior athletes and competitors with special needs—after Egypt topped the overall global rankings at the World Karate Championships recently hosted in Cairo. Calling the accomplishment “a historic achievement,” the President praised the athletes for elevating Egypt’s standing in one of the world’s most competitive martial arts arenas.
In a statement, President Sisi affirmed that the triumph is no less significant than the latest success of Egypt’s under-20 épée team, which clinched the gold medal at the Fencing World Cup in Hong Kong.
He described their performance as “honourable and befitting Egypt’s international stature and leadership.”
The President noted that Egyptian athletes continue to demonstrate the nation’s capability to excel across diverse sporting fields.
“Day after day, our athletes prove that Egypt is capable of achieving greatness in every arena,” he said, highlighting their “unyielding determination” and “relentless pursuit of victory.”
Concluding his message, President Sisi expressed pride in the country’s sportsmen and women, praying for their continued success.
He emphasized that their achievements “raise Egypt’s flag high among the nations” and reflect the resilience and ambition of the Egyptian spirit.
