President Abdel Fattah El Sisi praised Apache Corporation’s investments in Egypt, citing its role in oil and gas exploration and production in the country.
He said the company’s work strengthens Egypt’s energy sector and supports its efforts to position itself as a regional energy hub.
During a meeting with Apache Corporation’s President and Chief Executive Officer John J. Christmann at EGYPS 2025, Sisi called for expanding the company’s activities to maximize Egypt’s benefits from its natural resources.
Presidential spokesperson Mohamed el-Shennawy said Sisi listened to Apache’s plans for expansion.
Christmann expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s partnership with Apache.
He noted Egypt’s economic progress, improved energy infrastructure, and regional cooperation in gas transportation and liquefaction projects, which create new economic opportunities.
