CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi hailed on Monday successes achieved by US Apache company in Egypt during the past three years in the fields of oil and gas exploration as well as its expansion plans in the country.
During a meeting with John J. Christmann IV, Chief Executive Officer of the US company, the president expressed Egypt’s keenness on increasing oil and gas investments due to the pressing need of energy.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
The official spokesman of the presidency said the meeting dealt with Apache expansion plans and fruitful cooperation between Egypt and the US company in the oil and gas domains and means to capitalize on Egypt’s energy sector.
For his part, Christmann hailed partnership between Egypt and his company, expressing hope for increasing production rates in the coming period.
