Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi followed up progress in the implementation of a number of projects carried out by the Armed Forces Engineering Authority across the country.
This came at a meeting he held on Saturday for this purpose which took up the file of flood control projects in South Sinai.
Sisi directed to take into account the application of a sound engineering scheme that achieves the protection of lands from the detrimental effects of floods as well as benefit from torrential downpours.
He also ordered the bodies concerned to take into account the harmony of any construction with the unique nature of its geographical spot.
The President also reviewed the file of the construction of roads and bridges nationwide.
He ordered the completion of all phases of the comprehensive development project linking the North Coast Road to Marsa Matrouh and providing it with all traffic services to maintain the safety and smooth movement of citizens.
Sisi also reviewed efforts to develop the eastern entrance to Cairo at Hussein Kamel Road, where he directed the comprehensive development of the vital axis as an extension of the Suez Road and a main entrance to eastern Cairo.
The meeting also tackled the executive situation of the market complexes project to be established in several neighbourhoods in Cairo, as well as projects of urban coordination in the New Administrative Capital, especially those related to the strategic command, Egypt International Olympic City, the City of Arts and Culture, and Egypt Mosque.
