CAIRO – Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi urged more coordination among the relevant bodies in the State to reclaim more lands and develop agricultural and irrigation systems in Toshka.
This came during President Sisi’s meeting Saturday with Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ahmed el Azazi.
During the meeting, President Sisi was briefed on the executive position and the timeline set for the Engineering Authority’s projects nationwide, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
The president was also posted on steps to carry out Toshka development projects in cooperation with the different governmental bodies concerned.
Regarding the construction and architectural projects, the executive position of a number of establishments in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) was reviewed, especially the State Strategic Command Center Complex and the Bank Area.
The spokesman, meanwhile, said that Azazi also reviewed the executive position of the investment projects in Damietta governorate.
President Sisi also issued directives to take advantage of a number of unused land and space in the vicinity of Greater Cairo in order to use them either through urban development as well as housing or service projects.
