Egypt’s ambassador to Italy, Bassam Rady, conveyed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s Easter greetings to the Egyptian Coptic community in Italy during Easter Mass in Rome.
Rady, accompanied by members of the Egyptian embassy, attended the Easter mass at the Coptic Church in Rome, where he delivered the president’s message to the community and to Bishop Anba Barnaba of Rome, Turin, Florence and their surrounding areas.
In his message, Sisi extended “sincere congratulations and best wishes” to Copts abroad on the occasion of Easter, expressing hopes for continued blessings, happiness and success.
“I wish you success and prosperity, and for our beloved Egypt and its great people further progress and development,” the message read.
Rady also offered his own congratulations, both as Egypt’s ambassador and as an Egyptian citizen, to Copts in Rome, across Italy and worldwide, wishing them a happy holiday.
He praised the unity and cohesion among Egyptians, describing it as a cornerstone in the country’s path towards its future, and highlighted Egypt’s historical role as a cradle of divine religions.
Rady concluded by expressing hopes for Egypt’s continued security, stability and prosperity.
