Sisi expresses Egypt’s keenness on stability, security of Kuwait, all Gulf states

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has expressed Egypt’s keenness on the stability and security of Kuwait and all Gulf countries to face internal and regional challenges, pointing out that the security of Gulf countries is inseparable part of Egypt’s national security.

During a meeting at Bayan palace with Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, the president hailed strategic relations binding the two countries, saying Egypt is also keen on promoting joint cooperation at the political, security and economic levels.

Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that president Sisi thanked the Kuwaiti emir for the hospitality he received in Kuwait, pointing out that the two sides are keen coordination on issues of mutual concern and promoting joint cooperation to overcome the challenges.

The spokesman said the two leaders discussed aspects of cooperation in light of the approaching convocation of the 13th session of the Egyptian-Kuwaiti joint committee on Cairo.

The two leaders discussed efforts exerted to fight terrorism and extremism and spread tolerance and moderation.

For his part, the Kuwaiti emir welcomed the president in Kuwait and hailed historical relations binding the two countries and Egypt’s support for Kuwait at all levels.

The Kuwaiti emir hailed the role of the Egyptian community in Kuwait in the development process.
