CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has affirmed that the Egyptian State adopts a clear strategy based on achieving development across the nation to ensure a brighter future for the coming generations and build the Egyptian citizen.
The president made the remarks Monday during a meeting with Arab and African public prosecutors partaking in an international conference organized by the Egyptian prosecution on the role of public prosecutors in combating transnational crimes, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.
President Sisi voiced Egypt’s support for the public prosecution and other judicial bodies, which comes out of its belief that upholding the rule of law is the basis of justice.
He also reviewed Egypt’s integrated vision to cooperate with other countries on the basis of respect for differences in cultures, customs, traditions and values of peoples and nations.
President Sisi stressed that the theme of the conference is of great importance in light of the great challenges currently hitting the world, topped by terrorism.
For his part, Egyptian Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawy extended thanks to President Sisi for sponsoring the conference, saying that the event comes as part of Egypt’s strategic regional role to create an Arab-African backer for confronting crimes threatening the nations and establishing justice.
The top Arab and African prosecutors, meanwhile, said the conference reflects Egypt’s keenness on supporting the public prosecutors to carry out their mission, developing mechanisms for countering organized crimes and intensifying cooperation among countries in the field of investigation.
They also praised the great development projects being established in Egypt under the leadership of President Sisi, particularly at the New Administrative Capital.
The conferees agreed to use the conference in the future as a regional platform to exchange expertise on the issues of common concern and address challenges facing international judicial cooperation, particularly requests for extradition and joint judicial assistance.
