CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted that the struggle story of the Egyptians for Sinai is an epic of sacrifice and persistence to maintain a great nation and do not give away any part of it.
In his word on the occasion of the 42nd anniversary of Sinai Liberation Day on Thursday, Sisi said Sinai is indispensable part of Egypt.
Sinai was liberated by war and diplomacy, he said.
There was a fierce war against terror and evil in Sinai, he said, adding that the Armed Forces and the police saved no effort to protect not only Sinai but Egypt as a whole against terror and extremism.
Sisi highlighted the latest developments in the region and Israeli war on Gaza, asserting Egypt’s firm stance against any attempt to displace the Palestinians.
He underscored Egypt’s efforts to reach a ceasefire and allow aid supplies to the Palestinians.
He asserted Egypt’s keenness on bringing about peace, security, stability and development in the region for the interest of all its peoples.
Sinai witnesses unprecedented efforts to achieve comprehensive development in health, education, infrastructure and all the potentials of urbanization, industry and agriculture, he said.
