Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted on Saturday Egypt’s total rejection to the relocation of Palestinians into the Egyptian territories and that Egypt’s stance enjoys international coordination.
This came in a phone call with French President Emmanuel Macron, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
The call tackled current efforts aiming at reaching ceasefire in the Gaza Strip as well as undergoing a detainees swap and facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid.
The two leaders underlined the importance of cooperation of all parties concerned to guarantee reaching a solution for the crisis in order to stop bloodshed and alleviate current humanitarian suffering in the enclave.
They also agreed on pushing forward the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state as the only solution to reach real security and sustainable stability in the region.
The French president also asserted France’s support to Egypt’s stance.
The presidents warned of the threat of military escalation in Rafah, southern Gaza, and the expansion of the conflict in the region, calling for swiftly working on to impose ceasefire and regional truce.
