Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to use up-to-date technology in establishing various communications and digital projects, while taking into consideration good governance under quality and sustainability standards.
This would enhance the state’s digital transformation efforts in view of ongoing efforts to achieve civilization development and comprehensive development vision.
The president also called for training technical cadres capable of implementing digital projects.
This came during a meeting on Wednesday with Telecommunication Minister Amr Talaat, Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed, and Chairman of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ihab el Far, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The meeting tackled the executive status of a number of national projects in digitization and IT domains.
The talks also addressed the progress realized so far in the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital which is meant to be a knowledge complex to promote scientific research and innovation.
The talks also reviewed the establishment of branches of the Information Technology Institute in various governorates.
