President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed to intensify efforts to curb inflation through integrated policies and programs.

He directed to ensure securing commodities and services for citizens in addition to continuing to up spending in the sectors of health, education and social protection.

The president made the remarks on Tuesday during a meeting with Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli and Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk to follow up financial performance indicators of the general budget.

The meeting tackled the government’s efforts to realize the budget targets and financial balance, while proceeding with development programs in order to promote competitiveness of the national economy and improve productivity, hence achieving higher growth rates, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said.

He reviewed mechanisms for tax stability and boosting investment inflow within the framework of upping economic growth rate.

The president stood on the government’s efforts to implement presidential directives to prepare an integrated mechanism for facilitating taxes, especially magnifying the benefit of up-to-date technology.

He expounded that this is meant to realize full development of the tax mechanism, achieve tangible progress in Upper Egypt, enhance confidence of the business community and build genuine development partnership between the state and the private sector.

The president directed to proceed with efforts to realize financial balance in the budget, up state revenues and optimally invest them, while focusing on boosting spending in the human development sectors. This will positively improve national economic performance, competitiveness of the business community and living conditions.
