Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed to conduct a thorough legal evaluation for sums of money spent by all sporting federations, which competed in the recent Paris Games 2024.
The president’s directives came on Saturday based on a report presented by the Sports Minister on the performance of the Egyptian mission in the Games.
Sisi’s directives aim to develop the performance of the sports system, establish transparency and accountability principles and remove any obstacles facing Egyptian athletes to show the desired performance and achieve the best results in all games.
Sisi also directs to take the necessary measures against federations that had negative results in the Paris Games, in addition to limiting support for these federations.
Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said the president also directed to review plans on the future participation of Egyptian athletes in the coming Olympic Games.
