CAIRO – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi gave directives to officials to name a mosque in Zagazig after the late distinguished scholar Professor Ahmed Omar Hashem as well as the road connecting New Cairo to the Middle Ring Road and the high-speed rail station located at the road’s end.
Presidential Spokesman Mohamed el Shennawy stated that the president’s directive comes in recognition of the esteemed scholar’s rich legacy in the fields of Islamic preaching.
Hashem dedicated decades of his life in service to Islam and the promotion of moderate religious thought.
