President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed that the nation will never forget the sacrifices of its devoted citizens and stands keen on duly honouring the martyrs and injured who granted their lives for Egypt and its people.
The President’s assertion of this attitude came during a meeting he called on Monday with the Head of the Fund for Martyrs and Victims of War, Terrorism, and Security Operations, Major General Sayed el-Ghali, and the Fund’s Executive Director, Major General Ahmed al-Ashaal.
During the meeting, the president reviewed the annual report on the Fund’s activities as drafted in coordination between the Fund and all state bodies concerned, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
In light of that report, ways of enhancing the services offered to Fund beneficiaries were considered, together with ways to develop the Fund’s resources and upgrade its management mechanisms in such a manner that bolsters its capability to respond to the needs of beneficiaries.
In the course of discussion, President Sisi gave directives to sustain comprehensive coordination among the relevant state entities in order to ensure the achievement of Fund’s objectives and facilitate beneficiaries’ access to Fund services, spokesman Fahmy said.
The president also directed that free medical services be provided to civilians of the victims’ families and those injured in terrorist incidents who are not covered by health insurance, in coordination between the government and the Fund, the Presidency spokesman said. In this connection, President Sisi reaffirmed that the nation will not forget the sacrifices of its devoted citizens and stands keen on honouring the martyrs and the injured who granted their lives for Egypt and its people.
