Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi delegated on Wednesday Minister of Defence and Military Production Mohamed Zaki to lay a floral wreath at the tomb of late president Gamal Abdel Nasser.
Zaki conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Sisi and the Egyptian people to Nasser’s family in recognition of his patriotic efforts to raise Egypt’s status at the regional and international levels, as well as his courageous endeavours to support Arab peoples in their quest for independence and freedom.
He stressed that the glorious July Revolution will remain a shining beacon for the next generations, and that Egyptian history has written in letters of light the great achievements of the revolution.
Zaki said that late leader Nasser will remain a role model for future generations in the struggle to achieve social justice and meet the aspirations of the great Egyptian people.
The commemoration was attended by a galaxy of military top-brass and the family of the late leader.
