Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi presided – via video conference – over the 41st Session of the African Union Development Agency (AUDA-NEPAD) Heads of State and Government Orientation Committee.
Delivering a speech, President Sisi said that Egypt was honored to preside over the steering committee of the NEPAD in February 2023.
“We are meeting today at a time when the joint African action is going through a pivotal stage, coinciding with the end of the First Ten-Year Implementation Plan (FTYIP) of Agenda 2063,” President Sisi added.
Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said that the meeting tackled the NEPAD’s development vision and its role in implementing the FTYIP of Agenda 2063.
At the end of the meeting, President Sisi extended thanks to the heads of state and government of African countries. He affirmed the need for exerting further efforts to confront the rapid economic challenges facing the African Continent.
