Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi made two separate phone calls on Tuesday with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with Syria and Türkiye following the devastating earthquake that hit the two countries on Monday, referring to his directives to provide all possible aid and relief assistance.
During his phone call with Assad, President Sisi expressed his sincere condolences over the victims of the devastating earthquake, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.
For his part, the Syrian leader expressed his appreciation to President Sisi for his kind gesture, stressing Syria’s pride in the historical and fraternal relations that bind the two countries and their two brotherly peoples.
Meanwhile, during his phone call with Erdogan, President Sisi extended sincere condolences over the victims of the earthquake and stressed Egypt’s solidarity with the brotherly Turkish people and offered humanitarian assistance and relief to overcome the effects of this disaster.
For his part, the Turkish president thanked President Sisi for these good feelings, pointing out that they confirm the depth of the historical ties that unite the two brotherly peoples of Egypt and Türkiye.
