Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the necessity of the 2023 Cairo Summit for Peace should send a message of hope to world peoples that the “tomorrow will be better.”
Speaking at the inauguration of the Summit, currently in session in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Saturday, Sisi said that “Let us forward a message of hope to world peoples that tomorrow will be better than today.”
“Let us send a message to world peoples that their leaders are aware of the serious responsibility and see with their eyes the disastrous humanitarian catastrophe..”
The president added ” The leaders are in pain over every innocent child who dies due to a conflict that he/she does not understand… death comes to him/her by a shell or bombing… or it comes slowly for a wound that cannot find a cure… or for hunger.”
The Summit is aiming to address Israel-Gaza war de-escalation and pursue a ceasefire.
