Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi received a phone call from Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman yesterday.
In addition to reaffirming the strong and historical fraternal relations between the two countries, the two leaders discussed the regional situation and ways to enhance joint Arab action to address the challenges affecting regional security and peace, the Presidency spokesman said in a statement posted on his official Facebook page yesterday.
The two sides, the statement added, agreed upon the necessity of achieving an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and halting escalation in the West Bank, with the aim of preventing the expansion of the conflict and restoring stability to the region.
