Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi agreed with his US counterpart Joe Biden to allow humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip, through Rafah Border Crossing on a sustainable basis.
During a phone call between the two leaders to discuss the humanitarian situation in the besieged Gaza Strip on Wednesday, Sisi and Biden also agreed that the Egyptian and US bodies concerned will coordinate with international humanitarian organizations to secure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave, under the supervision of the UN, according to Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy.
Biden thanked Sisi for his efforts towards regional peace and security, the spokesman noted.
