Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi attended on Monday activities of the third edition of the 3rd Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2023) in Al Manara International Conference Center in New Cairo.

Upon arrival at the venue of the fair, Sisi was received by Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli and Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir and a number of ministers and state senior officials.

This edition is held in collaboration with the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), the African Union Commission and African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat.

The event is aiming to boost chances of trade and investment among African countries and will last until Wednesday.

Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir delivered an address in which he reviewed ways of promoting intra-African trade and vistas of joint cooperation between Egypt and countries of the continent.

The fair offers an important opportunity for boosting chances of trade and investment among African countries.

Trade and Industry Minister Ahmed Samir underscored the necessity of enhancing cooperation among African countries and finding untraditional solutions to promote their local economies and overcome existing challenges through regional partnerships.

A documentary was screened about treasures of Africa including agriculture, trade and workers.

The documentary highlighted Egypt’s hosting of this edition of the fair to tap more vistas of investment in order to set the stage for Egyptian exports into African markets.
