Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday development works along the Cairo-Suez road.
The works inspected by the president included flyovers constructed along the road to connect it with main transverse road axes.

Presidency Spokesman, Ambassador Bassam Radi, said these transverse road axes include the Ring Road currently under development and the Middle Ring Road that connects areas east and west of Greater Cairo, and the Regional Ring Road that connects the governorates of Upper Egypt with the governorates of Lower Egypt.
He added that the Suez Road, which is 109 kilometers long, contains 24 flyovers. It is one of the main traffic arteries in the country, Ambassador Radi said. He added that the road connects eastern Cairo with the rest of Egypt. The same road, he said, functions as a northern entrance to the New Administrative Capital.

Together with other transverse axes and roads, this road constitutes an integrated network of road axes that speed up and ease the movement of citizens, end traffic congestion, reduce emissions and save energy, as well as contribute to an increase in the flow of trade and the volume of investments, Ambassador Radi said
