Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Egypt’s openness on deepening ties with Qatar at the different levels and boosting them in the different political, security, economic and trade fields.
This came on Wednesday during Sisi’s meeting with Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said that both leaders held talks that were followed by extended talks including delegations from Egypt and Qatar.
The Qatari emir lauded the Egyptian efforts supporting the Arab and Gulf affairs and asserted Qatar’s keenness on boosting bilateral co-operation in the different domains during the coming stage via Qatari investment visits in Egypt and seizing the available investment opportunities, Rady said.
The Qatari emir praised Egypt’s prominent role in promoting the joint Arab action mechanisms in face of crises and challenges.
He said the Egyptian role sets an example in maintaining stability and improving development, economic and social conditions in the Arab world.
Meanwhile, Sisi lauded the recent visit of the Qatar emir to Cairo in June.
The meeting tackled means to boost bilateral co-operation aspects between both countries, Rady said.
Both leaders exchanged visions on the latest Arab, regional and international issues of mutual interest.
