CAIRO – Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi renewed Egypt’s condemnation of the terrorist attack on the Syrian-Jordanian borders, asserting Egypt’s full support for Jordan and keenness on preserving its security and stability.
This came during a phone call the president held with Jordanian King Abdullah II, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi in statements on Monday.
During the phone call, the two sides discussed the conditions in the region, particularly in the Gaza Strip, according to the spokesman.
They also reviewed ongoing efforts to calm down the conditions in the Gaza Strip and allow the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza residents, he said.
They also warned of the danger of continuing military escalation, a matter that threatens regional security, he added.
They stressed the necessity of finding a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue as the only way to restore regional peace and security, the spokesman concluded.
