MADRID – President Abdel Fatah El Sisi arrived Tuesday in the Spanish capital of Madrid beginning an official visit to the Kingdom of Spain.
Presidential spokesman Mohamed El Shennawy had said earlier in the day that the president will hold talks during the visit with the king and the prime minister of Spain, as well as representatives of some major Spanish companies.
The visit is set to witness the signing of an agreement to elevate Egyptian-Spanish relations to the level of strategic partnership.
The president will take part in an economic event to be attended by Spanish businessmen and senior representatives of Spanish companies, according to Shennawy.
Also, a number of memorandums of understanding on cooperation in various domains, will be signed, he said.
