PARIS -Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed the need for the return of calm to Palestine, calling for an urgent end to violence.
In exclusive statements to the French news channel “France 24” Sunday night, he said he hopes for an end to violence between the Palestinians and Israelis and for stability to return to the Gaza Strip and the rest of the Palestinian territories.
He highlighted efforts made by Egypt to stop the violence, stressing at the same time that the falling of victims harms the region and its stability.
Sisi arrived to Paris earlier on Sunday to take part in a high-level conference on Sudan and a summit on financing African economies, to convene Monday and Tuesday, respectively
