President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has affirmed Egypt’s unequivocal rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of the sisterly State of Qatar, denouncing the recent Israeli attack on Qatar as a blatant breach of international law and a provocative infringement on the principles enshrined in the United Nations Charter.
The president remarks came during a telephone conversation the president initiated today with His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.
During the call, President Sisi strongly condemned the aggressive act committed by Israel against Qatar, emphasising Egypt’s full solidarity— both at the leadership and popular levels — with the Qatari state in confronting this unacceptable escalation.
He also reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for the measures undertaken by Qatar to protect its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, said the Presidency Spokesman Ambassador Mohamed el-Shennawy.
He noted that the president views this incident as a serious provocation and a direct threat to regional stability, warning that such violations cannot be tolerated under international norms.
For his part, the Emir of Qatar expressed deep appreciation for Egypt’s firm and principled position, praising the enduring fraternal bonds between the two nations.
The Emir also briefed President Sisi on the latest developments following the attack.
In this respect, both leaders stressed the urgent need for the international community to take immediate action to confront this flagrant violation, ensure accountability, and uphold the sovereignty of states.
They underscored that continued disregard for international law risks undermining regional and global peace and security.
