Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted on Wednesday that the 6th of October War was a turning point in Egypt’s history.
This came during his speech at the 34th cultural seminar for Armed Forces under the title “October 1973 and the crossing to future” on the occasion of the 48th anniversary of the October War Victory.
The president also said that October War was a military epic that astonished the whole world.
President Sisi also hailed Egyptian people over their support to the Armed Forces during the 6th of October War, noting that the awareness and support of the Egyptian people will always be the real shield that contributes to protecting the Egyptian state and reaching prosperity.
The president also lauded former president Mohamed Anwar el Sadat over his decision to cross the canal and launch war to achieve such glorious victory.
