Egypt’s Head of the State Information Service (SIS) Diaa Rashwan Thursday said Egypt’s proposal regarding the Gaza Strip includes three successive and linked stages, ending with a ceasefire.
Egypt confirms that it has not yet received any responses to the proposed framework from any of the parties involved, Rashwan added.
“Egypt has already put forward a framework for a proposal to try to bring viewpoints closer between all parties concerned, in an effort to stop Palestinian bloodshed, stop the aggression against the Gaza Strip, and restore peace and stability to the region.” the head of the SIS said.
He added that the framework was drafted after Egypt listened to the views of all parties involved.
“Everything related to the Palestinian government is a purely Palestinian issue and is the subject of discussion among all Palestinian parties,” Rashwan stated.
“Egypt is yet to get responses on the proposal from the parties involved, and will give details about the plan once those responses are received.”
Meanwhile, the head of the SIS called on all media outlets to be precise in dealing with matters regarding the Egyptian proposal and to contact official Egyptian sources for clarification of anything new.
