CAIRO – About 200 reporters working for international media outlets accredited in Egypt will be covering the opening ceremony of the Avenue of Sphinxes (Kebash Road) that will be attended by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Thursday evening.
In press statements today, Head of the State Information Service (SIS) Diaa Rashwan said the SIS has carried out preparations and provided facilitations needed for receiving the relatively large number of international media reporters to help them convey the real image of this mega ceremony to the entire world.
The SIS has also given access to frequencies provided by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to more than 1,200 correspondents of foreign media outlets to follow the event for free, Rashwan added.
Egypt’s media offices in each of the US, the UK, Germany, Russia, France and South Africa will also be able to broadcast the event live, he noted.
