CAIRO – A host of diplomats told MENA on Thursday that Sinai Liberation Day conveys an important message to the world that Egyptians never abandon their land whether through war or peace.
Former assistant foreign minister Salah Halima told MENA that the Liberation Day is an unforgettable memory for current and future generations and reflects the sacrifices of Egyptians for defending their country.
Former assistant foreign minister Gamal Baiomy told MENA that Egypt’s diplomacy played an important role in the liberation of Sinai, lauding the state’s efforts on uprooting terrorism in Sinai after the June 30 Revolution.
For his part, former deputy foreign minister Ali El Hefny also praised great efforts and sacrifices made by the state-owned institutions to liberate Sinai and support the process of peace and diplomacy.
