Egyptian Governor of South Sinai Khaled Fouda received a high-level delegation from the Italian multinational oil and gas company, inclduing Eni’s Head of Sustainable Development AlbertoPiatti, Subsidiary IEOC Manager Marco Rotondi, and Community Development Specialist at Leonello Fani, among others.
The meeting aimed to activate the company’s role in community participation in South Sinai, with focus on the health and education sectors.
During the meeting, Fouda reviewed the possibility of upgrading the infrastructure at the Abu Redes University, in co-operation with Eni, as well as organising handicrafts fairs to create new job opportunities for young people.
Fouda offered plaque of the South Sinai Governorate, and some gifts of Bedouin hand made products, to the Italian delegation thanking them for their co-operation.
The delegation thanked Governor Fouda for warm welcome and hospitality, and asserted their wish to pay regular visits to Sharm El Sheikh.
