CAIRO – Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry has renewed Egypt’s call for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, calling on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in achieving that goal.
Shoukry’s remarks came at a press conference with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan after presiding over a meeting of the follow-up and political consultations committee at the ministerial level on Sunday.
They discussed key issues topped by the latest developments in the Palestinian cause.
They also discussed the developments in the Red Sea and importance of the freedom of navigation in international waterways calling on all parties to respect their obligations.
