Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar stressed the depth of bilateral ties in various domains.
This came during a joint press conference at the end of the two ministers’ talks on Saturday.
Shoukry welcomed the Indian foreign minister on his first visit to Egypt since assuming his post.
He stressed the importance of the visit in such watershed stage as the relations between the two sides are witnessing a new stage of development.
Shoukry said the past period witnessed a visit by the Indian defense minister to Egypt in addition to the convocation of the Egyptian-Indian business council.
He noted that the current visit of the Indian foreign minister coincides with the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.
