Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry left for the Iranian capital, Tehran, on Wednesday, to attend the funeral procession for late Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdolahian and their accompanying officials, who passed away on Sunday in a helicopter crash in northwestern Iran.
This was announced by Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abu Zeid.
After participating in the funeral ceremony, Shoukry will return to homeland, said the spokesman, expressing Egypt’s full solidarity with the Islamic Republic of Iran in this critical circumstance.
