Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed that Sharm El Sheikh should appear in its best form in a way that befits Egypt’s regional and international status, affirmed Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli.
Madbouli, meanwhile, said that his visit to Sharm El Sheikh on Thursday came as part of following up on preparations for hosting of the UN Climate Change Conference 2022 (UNFCCC COP27) this November.
While inspecting the development and expansion works of Sharm El Sheikh International Airport, Mabdouli reviewed the executive position of the expansion works and their implementation rates.
The development project aims to increase the absorptive capacity of the airport by two million passengers a year, from 7.5 million passengers to 9.5 million, Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Manar told the prime minister.
Madbouli, meanwhile, underlined the need of speeding up the implementation of all development projects in the city before June 30.
