Minister of Electricity Mohamed Shaker on Tuesday took part in a session on energy and its future strategies as part of the debate sessions held on the fringe of the 4th edition of the World Youth Forum (WYF).

Parliament Undersecretary Mohamed Abul Enien and Head of Energy and Infrastructure Systems at the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) were participating in the session titled “Routes of Energy..Orientation Towards a More Safe Future”.

He said the energy prices in Egypt have become very competitive worldwide, noting that one kilowatt is valued at 2 cents, highlighting the impact of establishing Benban solar energy plant in Aswan which is ranked fourth worldwide.
