Egypt’s Minister of Local Development Mahmoud Shaarawi followed up on efforts exerted by New Valley Governorate in wheat supply file.
During a meeting with New Valley Governor Mohamed el Zamalout on Saturday, he pointed out to the premier’s directives in the latest meeting of the Governors’ Council to reach targeted quantities of this strategic crop and remove any obstacles in this regard.
The circulation of wheat crop is only permitted within the official supply framework, added Shaarawi in remarks.
The minister underscored the importance of offering all facilitations to make it easy for farmers to deliver wheat and receive their financial dues with no delay.
Necessary legal measures will be taken against supply violators, according to him.
Meanwhile, the meeting discussed the executive situation of an under-construction automated service compound in Kharga city at a total cost of about 400 million Egyptian pounds.
